The German Numismatic writer, Wolfgang Bertsch who has written two famous books A study of Tibetan Paper money with a critical Bibliography and The Currency of Tibet has visited Nepal Numismatic Society office in Kathmanu on 15th November 2003.
Besides these two books he has written many articles on Tibet Currency. About 35 NNS members were present on that occasion. In his brief note he threw light on the historical importance of Nepal coins being used in Tibet during Malla and Shah Dynasty.
